With
the guidance and inspiration of Pujya Swami Dheeranandaji and devoted Members, CMWRC
has been conducting a very successful Geeta Chanting Competition for the past several
years. years.
Why
such a competition?:
Let
us understand the grand vision behind this seemingly simple program. Chanting initially
introduces one to the world renowned Srimad Bhagawad Geeta. Naturally this leads to
the study of the text, resulting in the gaining of the knowledge revealed therein.
Knowledge translated into action becomes a way of living one's life successfully and
joyously.

Participants
need NOT be members of Chinmaya Mission.
We welcome participation from anyone who is interested in chanting the Geeta. To register
please click on the Instructions
link from the main menu and follow the guidelines. The preferred method of payment
is online through the 2012 Geeta Chanting Registration system. Each participant is
required to pay $30 towards registration.
Categories:
1. Chanting of all 18 verses in Chapter 2 by memory. This category is open to all groups. Participants are judged based on pronuciation, memory and overall effect (devotional bhava).
2. Reading of all 18 verses in Chapter 2. This open book category is
ONLY open to Chinmayam students and adults. Participants are judged based on pronuciation and overall effect only.
